This afternoon (ed. April 12th) S.A.S. Prince Marcello sent a letter to the Crown Council in which he expressed his intention to irrevocably renounce the office of Prince of Seborga, to whom he had been re-elected on 23rd April 2017, “for reasons of a personal and family nature”. The letter of Prince Marcello is attached.
The Council of the Crown, which according to the art. 31
of the Regulation of the Principality called to exercise the regency of the State in case of vacancy of the Prince for natural or legal facts , expects to receive Prince Marcello as soon as possible for a last moment of confrontation in view of the acceptance of his resignation.
